Our Team

Dr. Cassis has practiced general dentistry in Fayette County for 22 years.  He is fully committed to providing the most cutting edge dentistry by constant participation in continuing education.  Dr. Cassis is fully certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He has had advanced training in laser dentistry, implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, oral sedation, occlusal diagnosis and treatment (TMJ), gum disease diagnosis and treatment, braces, and root canal therapy.  Dr Cassis serves his community by participating in free dental screenings to elementary students, and provides lectures and seminars to college students in health care professions through the rural health education consortium.   During his free time, he enjoys outdoor sports activities with his 5 sons.

DR. FIZZAH ZAHIR GOCKE -
WVU SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY RURAL ROTATION 10/13/01 – 02/28/03

Dr. Gocke is a native of Beckley, WV.  She received her BS in Health and Exercise Science at Wake Forest University.  She enjoys travelling, swimming, yoga, and spending time with family and friends.

Pam has 2 years experience working with Dr. Cassis.  Pam has also attended Morris Harvey College, West Virginia University, and WV State College.  Pam has 23 years experience in the dental industry.  She has taken numerous classes in practice management, financial management, accounting, insurance, and computer applications. Besides coordinating the office, Pam takes care of our accounting, insurance billing and questions, and is our appointment coordinator.  Caring for her 2 sons requires all of her free time.

Working with Dr. Cassis for 3 years, Sharon is your liaison with the office.  She has had training in practice building and management, marketing, communication skills, and computer applications.   Sharon specializes in helping all patients obtain financing for the treatment they desire.   She coordinates student rotations and community service in the office. The Cassis Dental Center hosts dental students and information technology students. She also takes care of public relations, marketing and advertising for the office.  She enjoys biking and is a spectator sports enthusiast for her two children.

Sherri has 19 years experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist, 14 of those being with Dr. Cassis. Sherri has had extensive training in detecting and treating periodontal disease and practice management.  She is certified in laser therapy.  The healing aspect of her job is what interests her most.  She continually establishes a great rapport with her patients.  She loves landscaping, making jewelry, and mothering her three children.

Holly has 3 years experience with Dr. Cassis.  She has taken courses in infection control, restorations, radiology, and practice building skills.  She is certified in oral sedation dentistry. Holly loves working with all of our patients. She loves spending time with her daughter.

Sara has 2 years experience with Dr. Cassis.  She has taken courses in restorations and practice building. Sara assures high quality films taken for diagnostic purposes. 

Sara serves as our whitening specialist and treats most of our patients with braces.  She enjoys shopping and spending time with her daughter.

Amanda Smith -  RDH Hygiene Therapist, graduated from Fayetteville High School in 2000.  She graduated from WVUIT in 2002 with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene.

Amanda worked as a Dental Assistant between college semesters at Cassis Dental Center.  She graduated with honors from WVUIT.  She has now returned to her family dentist, Dr. Bruce Cassis, to work as a Dental Hygienist.  She feels that the happiest patients are those who are educated about their own personal oral health, and knowing what they can do to maintain or improve it.  In her spare time, Amanda enjoys painting with oil pastels, canoeing, and spending time with her husband and dog.

Andi is the newest team member at Cassis Dental Center.  She enjoys her new job and loves greeting and meeting our patients.  Andi has taken classes in dental implants.  She is in charge of infection control, making sure all instruments are properly cleaned and sterilized.  In her free time, Andi enjoys spending time with her son and friends, watching TV and shopping.

All team members have had training in dental implants.  Sharon and Pam have attended dental implants classes as well. We are always accepting resumes for new team members with exceptional people skills including front office dental assistants.
