Our team is keenly aware of common fears associated with visits to the dentist. At Cassis Dental Center, we strive to provide our patients a calm, clean, and friendly atmosphere, using all resources available to us to ease your fears and concerns.
One of the most common methods for relaxing patients is nitrous oxide (better known as laughing gas). Another assurance is the use of "Dentipatch" the world's first accepted intraoral patch, delivering lidocaine anesthetic to the site prior to the injection for virtually painless injections. For the extremely apprehensive patient and/or the patient requiring extensive dental treatment, we offer conscious sedation with "a little blue pill" or "sleep dentistry." At Cassis Dental Center, we believe that knowledge is one of the best tools to alleviate anxiety and apprehension. Understanding procedures and their benefits helps patients be in control, and to make intelligent choices regarding the best individual care.
Another concern of patients is infection control. At the Cassis Dental Center, we take no risks with your health. Operatories and exam room fixtures and furnishings are continually cleaned and disinfected. In addition to cleaning and sterilizing all instruments routinely, as recommended by the American Dental Association and the Centers for Disease Control, we sterilize all handpieces with a state-of-the-art sterilization unit specifically designed for this purpose. Finally, all clinical team members wear personal protective equipment, including masks, gloves, and glasses, as well as hospital scrub uniforms. We strictly observe all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.
